Our Story

Our journey began in 2008 when my wife spotted a wobbly, metal-framed bed in a second-hand store and wanted it for our back porch in Oxford, Mississippi. Concerned that it would topple if used, I decided to build something more durable and well-crafted. I designed and created the first SwingBed as a Christmas gift for our family. It quickly became a hit with friends and neighbors.

A few months later, after selling our house (and the SwingBed, at the new owner’s request), we moved to Olive Branch, Mississippi. Naturally, my wife wanted two SwingBeds for our new home. I built a patio and installed the two SwingBeds, and soon after, I was crafting one for a neighbor who was eager to have one. That was my "Aha!" moment. I set up a website and shipped my first order to California within two weeks.

Demand quickly surged, leading me to assemble a small team to help manage the orders. Since then, we’ve shipped SwingBeds to all 48 contiguous states, Canada, the Caribbean, and even as far as Hong Kong. We frequently collaborate with interior designers for custom SwingBeds from Manhattan to Oregon and everywhere in between.

We’ve grown steadily, moving from a small detached garage to a 17,000-square-foot shop and shipping center, yet we still maintain the high quality and handcrafted touch that started it all in 2008. Recently, my son has joined the team, and we have undergone a rebrand with this new website. It is my hope that our family can help produce a quality piece for your family to gather and enjoy.
